My name is Mike and I was born in Kelowna, BC. I've lived in the Okanagan valley for most of my life, and have found a wonderful home and community in the Oyama area of Lake Country.

Oyama Owl started firstly because I love paddleboarding and biking! I first found paddleboarding in 2016 and since then I've been out on the water almost any chance I get.

My girlfriend first gave me the idea to deliver paddleboards to the beach using a bike and trailer. I thought this was a great idea, but I wasn't able to find a suitable trailer that could handle a several boards at the same time. So, of course I ended up building a custom bike trailer and can deliver boards to any beach in Oyama using my bike! This allows me to provide an eco friendly and affordable paddleboarding experience to anyone!

Paddleboarding is not the fastest way to get around on the water, but it allows you to have the fun you want to have when you are out on the water. If you want to go on a tour of the bay, or across the lake, great! If you just feel like floating off shore on your own private dock, that's cool too! Board however you want to, sitting, standing, kneeling, even lying down! The board doesn't care :)
